Before lighting the candle, trim your wick. Open the trimmer’s handles and gently place the trimmer's cutting edge flat against the candle wick.
Carefully trim the wick, leaving approximately 1/4 inch (6mm) of the wick length. Dispose of the cut trimmed wick, wipe the trimmer clean, and store it for future use.
This regular wick maintenance will help ensure your candles burn cleanly and evenly while reducing the production of soot.
